Occasionally parents need to discuss a concern about or on behalf of their child. If this is a matter that needs to be brought to the staff’s immediate attention before the pupil comes into school – death of a grandparent or pet etc. – the parent is welcome to pop into school or telephone the Head teacher for a brief chat before 9am. Where the concern requires a longer discussion, the parent should make an appointment to speak to the Head teacher and/or class teacher.
Where the concern involves another pupil or staff member it will be necessary for the Head Teacher to investigate the matter thoroughly before deciding about any course of action. The outcome of that investigation and any action decided will be reported back to the parent either verbally or in writing within 7 days.
